Reasonable base for 2 nights. The view was picturesque and the staff were friendly. A good choice of restaurants to eat close by, like delta indian takeaway that was only 10 minutes' walk away.

the hotel building is traditional. we really enjoyed staff and location, felt like home. characterful base for holiday in edinburgh. definitely would definitely go again.
